We are learning experts specialized in delivering immersive programs focused on the most critical business skills. Since we started, we’ve partnered with over 2500 companies and governments, equipping them (and millions of learners around the world) with the skills they need now and in the future.
Our team in Kigali (Rwanda) is looking for a Sales Director to work with senior government officials and C-level executives at some of Africa’s largest companies – helping them to advance their strategic objectives by improving citizens’ and employees' intercultural communication and language skills, as well as building management and leadership competency.
As a Sales Director you will focus on strengthening partnerships with existing clients and identifying new pockets of need, playing a significant role in the continued rapid growth across the region.
This role requires a highly consultative sales approach, a deep understanding of the region and its human capital development needs (beyond Rwanda), strategic acumen, persistence, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills. This is not a managerial position and while working with a strong team, the successful candidate must be a self-starter and confident working independently.
The Skills & Experience We Look For
- 5 years consultative B2G and / or B2B sales experience, working with senior government officials and ministers, as well as C-level executives, preferably across more than one African country
- A successful track record in B2G and / or B2B sales
- Strong relational skills, influencing skills and presence
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong written and spoken language skills in English, French and ideally Kinyarwanda
- Experience working with public sector clients, with education and/or with HR stakeholders is desired
- Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
- Passion for learning, both for yourself and, on a bigger scale, for governments and organizations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex end-to-end B2G (and B2B) sales processes, executing needs analyses, value proposition definitions and negotiations with senior government officials and C-level stakeholders
- Identify new Human Capital Development needs and business opportunities in Rwanda and across Africa
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop creative solutions to solve business challenges and advance national priorities
- Write and deliver compelling proposals and pitch presentations, requiring a thorough knowledge of the market and how our services stand out from competitors
- Collaborate with support teams and colleagues around the world to drive the sales process and maximize cross-selling
- Manage accounts and track client satisfaction and sales metrics, support negotiation, contracting and invoicing
What We Offer
- 21 days paid holiday each year
- Working from Kigali’s most modern office at Norrsken and flexibility to work from home 2 days per week
- Regular opportunities for personal and professional development
- Access to private health insurance
- A range of perks and benefits including program discounts for family and friends, opportunity to join an annual global sales conference (past locations have included Boston, Abu Dhabi and Dubrovnik)
- A competitive salary (based on experience and track record) and rewarding bonus structure based on performance
