Role: Finance Manager

Purpose of the role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance function and implementing the strategy and direction for the function, as provided by the Finance Controller.

In addition, the role shall identify and implement systems, polices and processes for the Finance function which will improve financial monitoring, accountability, and growth across DRC

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Finance Manager include
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting
  • Preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Complete tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements
  • Provide financial and analytical support to the Finance Controller
  • Guide and coach department directors and program managers to enhance financial literacy, including guidance with compiling program budgets and forecasting
  • Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function
  • Support the Finance Controller in working with the Directors, General Manager & CEO around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability
  • Performing adhoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues
What Will Make You Successful

  • Degree qualified in commerce, business or accounting
  • Must possess a professional finance qualification e.g ACCA
  • Experience managing the tax and preparing annual financial statements
  • Strong knowledge in SAP – desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in managing organisation’s accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements
  • Preferably from a business sector
  • Must be bilingual (English and French)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
Education Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business or accounting

Minimum Requirement: At least 5 years’ experience in a finance management role working with a business oriented organization.
